"dariacore" is a subgenre of hyperpop and electronic music meant to be an escapism from modern genres like indie pop or rap, by taking the lyrics of those songs and stirring that together with random dubstep or colorful arps, paired with obnoxiously loud snares. the genre doesn't have a set structure except for a drop and buildup, and it's a great way for artists to make music that sounds good without really trying that much. sounds that you'll usually notice on your first few listens would be a number of glitches or dubstep growls, and occasionally you'll hear a piano or another synthetic instrument that ties the track together. dariacore is also associated with glitch hop and complextro!
the album to start the entire genre was the fittingly named
"Dariacore" by leroy (also known as jane remover), covering 16
tracks. this album is also known as "Dariacore S1" because this
is the first of the three dariacore-related albums leroy would
come to release.
the most famous song off the album was "theyfriend," which was
more oriented toward hyperpop and also skyrocketed the main
ideas behind the genre itself.
